The excitement of the upcoming 78th Independence celebrations was pulsating. Both the Primary and the Secondary Sections had meticulously planned the event.

For the Primary Section, the festivities began two days prior from 13th August by showcasing the spirit of unity that defined our Independence Day. Students dressed as national leaders and freedom fighters. The prayer service reflected the significance of freedom and unity and special prayers were offered for the brave soldiers who fought for independence, for our nation, its leaders and students too. The assembly was punctuated by the singing patriotic songs and hymns, including the national anthem.

The Board decoration was a delightful sight. The Tricolour Selfie Points attracted students to click photos fostering a sense of pride and also created a fun and interactive experience for everyone. A Tricolour rally was organized to commemorate Independence Day with students, teachers and community members enthusiastically carrying the national flag through the streets, chanting slogans and singing patriotic songs along the way. Onlookers joined in, by cheering and waving flags. Children enjoyed sharing their culture through dance fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our community.

On 15th August, the flag was hoisted at 8:00 am by our Chief Guest Inspector Balaji D. of the Andheri East police station. Speeches by students on our progressing nation and a house-wise Patriotic Singing Competition followed.

The day was filled with patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and a sense of national pride.
