Yoga is highly beneficial for people of all ages. To instill the essence of practicing yoga on a regular basis, Yoga Day was celebrated in school on Friday 21st June 2024 which is also marked as International Yoga Day. Yoga instructor Ms. Hetal Patel addressed the students on the significance of Yoga. She demonstrated various asanas – Tadasan, Padmasan, Butterfly asan, Vajrasana, Pranayam, Anulom-Vilom, etc.
The benefits of Yoga as enumerated by the instructions were:
• It helps in strengthening flexibility
• Builds up confidence
• Reduces stress and tension
• Helps in controlling hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, obesity
• Helps improve immunity
• Improves attention span
The Yoga Day was thus successfully spent with students performing along with the instructor.

‘The more we are together, the merrier we shall be…’
After a long and relaxing summer break students and staff at Divine Child High School & Junior College returned to school on 15th June 2024. The atmosphere rang excitement and thrill and anticipation as students reunited with friends and teachers and everyone gathered to start the new academic year with a soulful prayer service. Students and staff members joined in prayers seeking blessings for a successful and safe academic year followed by an address by the Principal.
It was a fun day as students in class were each given a special welcome with personalized cards from their teachers having inspiring messages and well wishes for the new school year. The classrooms buzzed with energy during the ice-breaking activities. The first day back at school was a great success setting a positive tone for a year ahead filled with learning, growth and memorable experiences.

SCHOOL REOPENING FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025
As per the Department circular received, school for students from Std. I to X will reopen on Saturday 15th June 2024.
Timings for the reopening day of school will be as follows:
Std. I to IV – 7:40 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Std. V to X – 7:40 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

On the occasion of Maharashtra Day on 1st May, Junior College organized a memorable celebration to commemorate the formation of the state of Maharashtra.
The celebration was attended by the chief guest, honorable dignitaries of the school, staff members and Junior College students. The programme included flag hoisting, singing of the national anthem, introduction and felicitation of the chief guest and valuable words of wisdom from him. Speeches were also delivered in English by a Junior College student and in Marathi by a CBSE student, each voicing the history and achievements of the State of Maharashtra. At the conclusion of the programme, the Supervisor of the Secondary section delivered the vote of thanks.
The celebration was an unforgettable and enriching experience. It not only instilled a sense of pride in our state but also provided us with a deeper understanding of Maharashtra’s history and culture.
