Teachers Day 2017

Teachers Day 2017

Teachers Day is celebrated in India on the birthday of our second President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a renowned Indian philosopher and statesman. When he became the President of India, some of his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, on the 5th of September. His reply to them was, “Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5th is observed as Teachers’ Day.” His birthday has since been celebrated as ‘Teachers Day’ in India.

Divine Child High School will be celebrating Teachers’ Day on Mon 4th Sept 2017 and students will convey to their teachers, wishes of good health and happiness. It is a gratifying moment for us teachers to be in a noble profession as this. We can proudly acknowledge the fact that ‘A teacher affects eternity. They can never tell where their influence stops.’

We request all to keep the teachers in prayer so that they may continue to be devoted to their vocation.

Timings for school on Monday –   PRIMARY – upto 9:30am;   SECONDARY – upto 10:00am.

Folk Dance Competition

Folk Dance Competition

“Dancing with feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another!”… was proved by our students on the occasion of the Folk Dance Competition on 24th July 2017.

The judges Mrs. Aileen Hamilton, Mithul Mishra and Neha Thakur Ozha had a wonderful time and were full of praise as the students displayed their talent in the Indian Folk Dances from different states in India. They were performances full of enthusiasm, joy and vigour.

The hall resounded with loud applause and lifted the spirit of the dancers.
