The folk Dance competition was held on 24th July, 2015. The competition was judged by Mrs. Shoanette Barretto & Ms. Priti Sangade. The criteria for judging was based on – Authentic Costume; General Presentation; Group Synchronization; Creativity. The judges gave then views and guided the participants with their experiences.

The nature club of our school conducted the collage making competition on 23rd July, 2015. Two students from each class participated whole-heartedly in this competition. The topics – flower, butterfly, snake, insect, tree, birds and animals.

Divine Child High School celebrated Vanamahotsava day on 23rd July, 2015.
‘PLANT A TREE, GROW A FLOWER, LET’S GIVE EARTH BACK HER POWER’. The day began with a special prayer service praising our Mother Earth.
‘NUTURE THE NATURE AND NATURE WILL NUTURE YOU’. The children took on oath that they will conserve our natural resources. Our school gardener Mr. Ram Gulam was felicitated by Sr. Principal. Then our principal along with our teachers and students planted many saplings in our school campus.
‘DO YOUR DUTY TO KEEP NATURES BEAUTY’. This was the message given by our gardener to take care of our school garden and to appreciate nature.
‘TREES ARE THE LUNGS OF THE EARTH, IF WE DESTROY TREES, WE DESTROY OURSELVES’. So to save ourselves from getting destroyed we had a sale of plants which got good response from students who purchased the saplings also promised to nurture them.

On the occasion of Vanamahotsava, Poster & Slogan competition was organized. Two students from each class participated whole-heartedly and came out with beautiful creative and attractive poster & slogans on the topic ‘Vanamahotsava.’

Elocution means the art of public speaking in which gestures, vocal production and delivery are emphasized and this was showcased by our students from std V-VIII during the English elocution competition on 13th July 2015.
The topic on social issues were inspiring. All the participants put their best foot forward. The judges appreciated and applauded all the performances. They had a difficult task in giving then final verdict.
The competition concluded by awarding certificates to the winners to enhance encouragement and bring a smile on then faces.
