‘Waste isn’t waste until we waste’ was the motivational theme for the students of Std. 5th to 10th, who on Friday 30th June 2023, put their creative ideas to best use and fabricated some beautiful artifacts, of the not-in-use materials available in their house.
The competition generated excitement and curiosity as the students flaunted their individual handicrafts. The unique exhibits from each section were judged winners by Vice Principal Tr. Ingrid Pereira and Sr. Teresia and were displayed in the library for the others to view.

Divine Child Family had a fun day today. A duel celebration – Diwali & Children’s Day!!
Of course, the day began with a prayer assembly focussing on Children’s Day and Diwali Day which was well conducted by teachers with apt videos, prayer songs, etc. This was followed by an exciting day full of activity, fun and frolic. Teachers power-packed dance performances that had the children screaming with excitement; classroom game activities; a DJ in attendance in the school hall and the grounds had the children dancing wild to the rhythm of the music. The children went home after being treated to mouth-watering ice-cream. All had a fun day.
Wishing all our parents, guardians, benefactors and well-wishers a very happy Diwali.

On 19th April 2024, Divine Child High School & Junior College organized ‘Bal Mela’ a special day featuring fun-filled outdoor activities spruced with a dose of healthy talent competitions and laughter… all this for the less fortunate children from nearby localities. The programme began with a warm welcome, prayer, and a briefing about the day’s schedule. The children were assigned different creative, cultural and sports activities in their groups. They enthusiastically participated, exploring and showcasing their hidden creative talents and enjoying the games. Refreshment and nutritious lunch was provided to all the children, ensuring they were well-fed and energised. At the closing, a take-away gift of love, brought smiles to their faces.

The students of Divine Child High School are placed into four different house colours – Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. The teachers too are put into the different houses for guidance, support and encouragement for these students. Each house is attached to a patron saint whose life portrays a virtue.
The Red House Patroness is St. Cecilia and the virtue is Courage.
The Blue House Patroness is St. Therese of Lisieux and the virtue is Love.
The Green House Patroness is St. Maria Goretti and the virtue is Purity.
The Yellow House Patroness is St. Rose of Lima and the virtue is Generosity.
At different times through the year, on the feast day of the patron, the students of that house along with their teachers conduct the morning assembly with a well conducted prayer service which includes depicting a part of the saint’s life by an enactment, etc. The virtue is emphasized during the act and all students are motivated to imbibe and live the virtue.
