The school bid farewell to yet another teacher – this time from the Primary Section.
Tr. Jacinta Correia who taught in this school for the past 37 years was bid a warm farewell by the Management, students and staff. The prayer assembly first thing in the morning was focused on praying for her wellbeing and happiness in the future. The students entertained their teacher with lively performances in dance and song. Farewell speeches by students, a teacher and principal were emotionally moving. Tr. Jacinta too, spoke of her experience in the school.

On Tuesday 3rd January, our school celebrated the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule. The assembly that day was conducted with prayers for the girl child’s right to education and women’s empowerment. In honour of Savitribai, a video was shown on her life. One of the student gave a speech on her and dressed like her too.
The students were given information about Savitribai – She was known as India’s ‘first female teacher’. Noticing the plight of women in our country, she was determined to change it for the better. She pioneered the education of women and backward class communities in our country. Along with her husband Jyotirao Phule, she started a school for girls in Pune.
Enlightened by this knowledge about her, the students realized the importance of education and to value it.

On Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th January, telly-games were held on the school ground for the Pre-Primary children. They enjoyed playing games like – Buckle my shoe; Langdi Race; Bunny Hop; Throw Ball, etc.
Sports Day was held on the school grounds on Wednesday 25th January 2023 for the primary and secondary sections. Even though it was a mini sports event, the enthusiasm and thrill of the students was on a high, none the less. A lot of excitement was packed into this mini event – Book-balancing race, sack race, three-legged race, getting ready for school race, finding your partner race, martial art, and the school band in attendance – we had the works!
Besides, participating and enjoying the sports events, the students had a pleasurable time eating popcorn, candy floss and ice cones as well.

The tiny tots (Pre-Primary Section) of Divine Child High School and Junior College celebrated ‘Traditional Day’ on Wednesday 25th January 2023. It was heartening to see little children dressed in attires depicting freedom fighters and leaders. They also joined in the assembly that day along with the older children.
It was also celebrated as ‘Sprouts Day’ to instill in the children, the importance of healthy eating. They brought boiled sprouts for their break-time and enjoyed eating this healthy snack.

Divine Child High School & Junior College echoed the “Voice of the Earth” at their Annual Celebration on 9th & 11th December 2022.
All performances – skits, dances, songs, etc. revolved around the theme, sprucing it up with vibrant costumes and of course, enthusiasm and excitement. The two day extravaganza passed on a valuable message to the viewers about the beauty of God’s creation – life and nature! All in all, an entertaining weekend.

- Both parents must accompany the child at the time of interview.
- Please bring along the original supporting documents as well as a xerox copy of the same.
- A copy of the printed form will also need to be submitted.
- One coloured passport size photo of the child.
- One small size family photo.
- Municipal Birth Certificate of the child in ENGLISH only. (Legal / official translation proof required, if not in English).
- Proof of Residence.
- Aadhar Card – of child (optional); of Mother and of Father.
- Ration Card of family / Telephone Bill / Electricity Bill / Passport.
- Baptism Certificate of the child – in case of Christians only.
- Parents Academic Qualification Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (in the child’s name) – optional
- Medical Certificate – only for disabled persons
- Siblings school ID (if studying in this school)
