The Divine Educational Institution flagged off the celebration events earmarking the Diamond Jubilee Year of its existence, with a Blood Donation Drive in the school premises on 8th July 2017 from 8.00am to 12.30pm… a best and unique expression that every human being is ‘BORN FOR OTHERS’!
The school management and staff along with the help of the medical social worker Mr. Yogesh Patil organized this camp in association with Holy Spirit Hospital. The drive was led and pre-arranged by Dr. Manisha Kamat and her team with the assistance of the school support staff.
This preliminary time venture was well accepted and participated by parents of students, ex-students and locals. Dr. Kamat with the help of a screening session, beautifully explained the theme of Holy Spirit Blood Bank “Someone lives when someone gives” and educated those present on the importance of human blood for treating different human diseases. A relatively good number of people were able to donate blood.
The programme was brought to a close with a Vote of Thanks to the Holy Spirit Hospital Team and Mr. Yogesh Patil for the wonderful work they do for the benefit of society.
