Elocution means the art of public speaking in which gestures, vocal production and delivery are emphasized and this was showcased by our students from std V-VIII during the English elocution competition on 13th July 2015.
The topic on social issues were inspiring. All the participants put their best foot forward. The judges appreciated and applauded all the performances. They had a difficult task in giving then final verdict.
The competition concluded by awarding certificates to the winners to enhance encouragement and bring a smile on then faces.

Lezim competition organized by the K.P. East ward was hosted by our school. 25 schools from all over Andheri East performed with great enthusiasm and zeal. Eminent judges for the day were Mr. Rajesh Adgule and Mrs. Jayashree Patil. The Principal of N.D. Butta school, the co-convenor of our ward and Brother Tony of Holy Family High School also graced this event with their august presence. The success of the event was the overwhelming and extra ordinary performances of the participant schools.

A must awaited Debate Competition for Std V-VIII was held on 17th July,2015 in the school hall. The two teams that qualified for the final were the Yellow House and the Blue House. The topic for the debate was the Advantages and Disadvantages of Technology on the Modern Generation. The Competition was judged by Tr. Volga and Tr. Jennifer Chavan on the following criteria – ability to refute, diction and style of presentation.
The Blue House won by a margin of one point. The Yellow House had the Second place. The judges gave then views and enlightened the audience about how Debates help us to be rational in our outlook.

Since ‘Childrens’ Day’ was falling in the Diwali vacation, Divine Child High School & Junior College had a preponed celebration for the children of the school on 4th November 2015.
The day was filled with fun and frolic and a lot of dancing…all-in-all, an exciting day.

Divine Child High School celebrated Vanamahotsava day on 23rd July, 2015.
‘PLANT A TREE, GROW A FLOWER, LET’S GIVE EARTH BACK HER POWER’. The day began with a special prayer service praising our Mother Earth.
‘NUTURE THE NATURE AND NATURE WILL NUTURE YOU’. The children took on oath that they will conserve our natural resources. Our school gardener Mr. Ram Gulam was felicitated by Sr. Principal. Then our principal along with our teachers and students planted many saplings in our school campus.
‘DO YOUR DUTY TO KEEP NATURES BEAUTY’. This was the message given by our gardener to take care of our school garden and to appreciate nature.
‘TREES ARE THE LUNGS OF THE EARTH, IF WE DESTROY TREES, WE DESTROY OURSELVES’. So to save ourselves from getting destroyed we had a sale of plants which got good response from students who purchased the saplings also promised to nurture them.

6th November 2015… an athletic day at Divine Child High School & Junior College!!
The students of the school and junior college flexed their limbs and worked out in preparation for this annual athletic event to be held at Holy Family School Grounds, Chakala.
Our chief guest for the day was Mr. Alexander Fernandes, a renowned marital art professional.
The children put in their best efforts and the event was a stumping success.
