Divine Child Polytechnic
This Institution was the most cherished dream of the Poor Sisters of Our Lady specially of our the then Principal of Divine Child High School, Sr. Matilda D’Mello. Her vision was to start a Degree College, providing education for the under privileged of our society, to give them a better future and a dignified life. This would include girls, women who are house wives and are unable to pursue higher education. Considering these problems Sr. Matilda perceived and headed towards the right goal. It was a plan to have multiple courses of varied categories and in different languages in order to help students who come from vernacular medium. This was the motivation to start Divine Child Vocational Training Institute.

A name makes a great marks and Divine Child is a greatest name in this Andheri locality. Just for this reason students were happy to join our institute. We provided best of facilities to our students and always guided our students with positivity, counseled and listened to their grievances. We also interacted with parents at times to help our students giving them some concession on fees and other support.
We arranged trips for them once a year. All was good till 2019 – 2020.
Every alternate year we staged a Fashion Show for our Fashion Designing and Beauty Culture students. Students of Fashion designing designed their own costume and modeled. This was done with proper choreograph, ramp walk, music, lightening and grace. At polytechnic all the required facilities were provided to all the section of the students.
Every year we had Fiesta for the Hotel Management students. HM students were prepared for their six months internship and also job training interviews in 5 Star hotels right from Taj, Maratha and Sheraton. These students who completed their internship were offered jobs simultaneously. All our students are currently working as supervisors, in-charge in department and few got placement abroad, such as Dubai, Canada, Maldives, Kuwait, Netherland, and USA. Our students gratefully remember all they have received and learnt and they feel happy to revisit their alumni.
In the Year 2017 the draw back or the turning point was the closedown of the distance Education of many YCMOU centers including Divine Child Polytechnic,
In 2018-19 we began with Madurai Kamraj University where we got number of students but it was not a reliable venture. Year 2020-2022 due to Covid 2019 the Polytechnic was not able to get new admissions.
But now we once again bounce back to our activities in various courses.
