Teachers Day is celebrated in India every year on 5th September to appreciate the role played by teachers in the life of students–the leaders of tomorrow. The day is also celebrated to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator. Teachers provide the power of knowledge and education and create possibilities for better future. Amidst the pandemic, Divine Child High School celebrated this day with great enthusiasm through Google meet on 6th September, 2021.

The whole event was meticulously planned by students of each class with the help of the monitors as per the guidance given by the Supervisor Tr. Ingrid. The programme commenced by welcoming the class teachers along with the subject teachers followed by prayer service to invoke God’s blessing. Our Principal Sr. Olivia addressed teachers and students. The students then expressed their appreciation to the teachers by a cultural programme. Some students shared their thoughts about their teachers, recited poems written in different languages and showed things like cards, photo frames, videos, etc. that they made for their teachers. They also organized some games for teachers such as spin the wheel, guess the brand by tagline, etc. Teachers too were requested to share their experiences. The programme ended by wishing the teachers a very
HAPPY TEACHERS DAY.
