On Saturday 18th June, the staff of Divine Child Family had an Orientation session conducted by a Jesuit priest Fr. Ternan Monteiro s.j., presently placed at Manmaad.
His session was primarily on ‘Teacher-Student Relationship’ focussing on its challenges; the importance of right communication and the power and strength of oneself. He touched base by citing examples of simple day-to-day home / school situations and their practical solutions to the problems. The group discussions too, helped in clearing the vision and understanding situations.
All-in-all a very productive and fruitful morning spent.
We hope that after a relaxing and restful summer, you feel refueled and energized to start afresh on a clean slate.
Your teachers are here to journey with you and empower you along the way to excel and shine.
It’s time for some great learning together… and it begins now… Go be awesome.

The birthday of our late Ex-President “The Missile Man” Dr. A.P.J. Kalam was celebrated in school as ‘Reading Day’. The teachers and students paid respect to his memory right through the day, beginning with the Assembly which was dedicated in his honour. The day was spent by viewing Powerpoint Presentations on his childhood; Model reading by teachers; Students silently reading books of their choice and discussing views, sharing feedback, exchanging books, etc. The movie “I am Kalam” was also viewed.
A day well-spent, reliving the greatness of a humble man and inculcating the invaluable interest in reading among the students. Our “Missile Man” Dr. A.P.J. Kalam will stay embedded in our hearts for years to come.
Elders day was held on the 1st October 2015.The grandparents of our students were
invited. Programme of songs and dance was put up. The elders were invited to display their talent. Our
elders had a great day and were thankful to the school for thinking of them.
