The students of Divine Child High School were enlightened today, with the true meaning of Christmas at the Christmas Tableau… that ‘Christmas’ is all about the ‘Cross’.
As the school closes for the Christmas holidays, we, the Divine family wish for you and your families, a Christ-filled season of Christmas and a happy, prosperous and healthy New Year.

Marathi Elocution competition was held online through Google meet on 21st August 2020 for class 8th, 9th and 10th students. Every participant was given precisely 3 minute for the speech on selected topic. It was indeed astounding to see how beautifully students had put their thoughts, insights, humour and delivered the speech.
Students were very confident and spoke really well. Some topics were pretty easy/straightforward whereas a few topics were challenging. The competition was concluded with a few words of encouragement by the judges Tr. Amal and Tr. Tina.

The 10th of December saw a new and refreshing venture for the Divine family. For the first time ever, we opened our portals to a section of people who are often looked upon differently and not too well accepted in society – the Transgenders.
Our special guests were welcomed with floral tribute and the programme organized for them began with the lighting of the traditional lamp and a prayer service. The carol singing, spot prizes and dance performances by our students brightened their day. Our guests shared with us their experiences of life and also appreciated our gesture of inviting them to our school. They made visits to the classrooms to meet all students and interact with them. They were felicitated with gifts at the close of the programme.

An English essay writing competition was held online through Google meet for the students of STD IX and X. The students were asked to write on a particular topic, click a picture of it and send it to the teacher. The essay was judged on the basis of the student’s vocabulary, presentation and creativity.
The purpose of the competition was to encourage the students to enhance their thinking and writing skills. The essays were well written by the students.

The body speaks the language of the heart… and we at Divine Child experienced just that, through dance!… where our students let their hearts tell its story with lively, passionate and vivacious dance performances at the folk dance competition.

Music is the universal language of mankind – Henry .W. Longfellow.
This universal language was spoken in Divine Child High School by almost 100 students who participated in English Singing Competition on 26th and 27th Sept 2020. The judges for the competition were Mr. Christopher Khan and Mr. Raul. D. Christopher. The contestants sang English songs of their choice and were judged in various criteria – tonal quality, rhythm, memory etc. Students showed exemplary performances and some new stars were born.
